If you’re looking to just relax with friends and play a game of snooker (pool), then you are in luck because the game was not only invented in France but Paris has plenty of excellent pool halls offering a world class experience. Besides billiards, Paris also has some top notch bowling alleys. Who would have guessed that under the world famous Arc de Triomphe monument is a funky retro bowling alley? So, here are the best pool halls in Paris as well as the best bowling alleys in Paris that are worth visiting:
SNOOKER/POOL
1) BILLIARD NATION SHOOT AGAIN
Billiard Nation aka Shoot Again is a top notch venue location near Place de la Nation with a total of 17 full size tables. It’s a cosy yet elegant place with a dress code (just fashionable, dress shirt preferred) as they want this to provide a more upscale experience where guests can enjoy a nice drink while playing a game among friends. It’s only 13 euros per table per hour until 8pm, a few euros more after 8pm. Drinks are excellent and reasonably priced around 10 euros.

2) CLUB 8 & 9 VOLTAIRE
Club 8 & 9 aka Voltaire is a spacious, fun pool hall that serves surprisingly good cocktails and beer. Billiards/pool was invented in France and so it’s no surprise Paris would have some excellent locations dedicated to this activity. Club 8 & 9 is located in Bastille and offer members discounted rates while non-members can play for 14 euros per hour per person after 7pm.

BOWLING (TEN PIN)
1) BOWLING FOCH (DUPLEX)
Located below the Arc de Triomphe, this has to be one of the coolest bowling alleys in the world – not only due to its location but also because it’s part of a retro disco called Duplex. As such, Bowling Foch may be the funkiest bowling alley in the world. They have 15 lanes in so plenty of room. You’re also in luck if you like to play billiards as they have a few tables. Prices are very reasonable. Only 5 euros per hour during the week and 7 euros on the weekend (plus a 2 euro fee for shoe rental).
2) BOWLING MOUFFETARD
Located at 73 rue de Mouffetard in south central Paris, Bowling Mouffetard is a solid all-round bowling alley. Good facilities with eight lanes, and they even have billiards. They offer good deals such as bowling for 2 with 1 free drink for 12 euros. They are open from 3pm until 2am most days so you can make a whole evening of it!

Or how about some indoor rock climbing, go-karting or another outdoor activity? There are a ton of interesting things to do in Paris besides museums. Such, as how about enjoying a nice cigar? or why not hit a few golf balls at the driving range in the Bois de Boulogne? Depending on long you’re in Paris for you could play tennis or golf, or enjoy a Crossfit or boxing class.
